The superior performance of the new PicoPRECISE with acoustic droplet ejection delivers pinpoint accuracy in ultra-low volumes.
Issue Immediately: Galway, Ireland; May 2017
Researchers in Life Science application areas are constantly seeking new ways to obtain better results from liquid handling technologies. PolyPico have brought to the market the definitive instrument in precision dispensing. Suitable for applications such as Drug Discovery, POC Diagnostics and Stem Cell printing, this patented technology utilises disposable cartridges which removes cross contamination risk, ancillary cleaning equipment, and process costs.
This new instrument allows the end user to perform ultra-low volume dispenses with an accuracy of 2% CV at sub 10-micron placement. The protective enclosure allows for multiple slide and plate positions while keeping the fluid or biomaterial solution contamination free by utilising disposable plastic cartridges. The PicoPRECISE user friendly software supports serial dilution, dosing curves, single agent transfers and user pattern importer. In addition, the compact benchtop size allows for a reduced laboratory space.
Speaking at the pre-launch at DCU Nano Research Facility in Dublin, Alan Crean of PolyPico Technologies commented that the PicoPRECISE “is the product of listening to our customers and combining ultra-high precision with ultra-low volume to deliver outstanding results.”
PolyPico will launch the PicoPRECISE this month at NanoTech in Washington DC and will be exhibiting in Europe at NGS 2017 in Glasgow.

About PolyPico Technologies
PolyPico Technologies (www.polypico.com) have developed an ultra-high precision, ultra-low volume liquid
handling system in the Pico to Nanoliter volume range. Acoustic Droplet Ejection technology is uniquely
combined with inexpensive, disposable plastic dispensing cartridges which provide highly accurate printing of a
wide range of biologicals and chemicals. Founded in 2012, as a spin out of the University of Limerick, the
privately-owned company based in Galway, Ireland, designs, and manufactures, fluid dispensing solutions for
both Life Science and Industrial applications. PolyPico Technologies instruments are used by customers in
international pharma companies, biotechnology companies, commercial research centers and academic
institutions worldwide. Suitable for R&D applications such as Drug Discovery, POC Diagnostics and Stem Cell
printing, this patented technology removes cross contamination risk, ancillary cleaning equipment, and process
